Major: Computer Engineering
Class: 2012
Home town: Crystal Lake, Ill.
Why did you pick MSOE?
It was comparable in price to the Illinois state schools with the academic scholarship, and it had a lot more to offer in the area of study I wanted to get into than every other college I had looked into.
What do you like about MSOE?
I like the small class sizes, the accessibility of the professors, the campus activities, and of course, the friends that I've made here.
What would you tell someone who is considering coming to MSOE?
I would tell them to talk to the professors in the major they're looking at to get a better view of what they're getting into, and also, if possible, to take the Focus on the Possibilities courses that MSOE offers in the summers. It helped me decide that I wanted to go into computer engineering instead of my previously planned major of software engineering.
What do you do in your free time?
I like to play video games, hang out with friends and family, go running and biking, and currently I'm learning a few more programming languages for the upcoming school year.
Any groups or clubs you're involved in?
