Major: Technical Communication
Class: 2013
What is your major?
Technical Communication
When will you graduate?
I believe it will be winter of 2013
What is your hometown?
West Allis, Wis.
Why did you choose MSOE?
I have an associate degree in visual communication/computer graphics. But before I enrolled there I asked where I could go to get my bachelor's and they said MSOE.
What do you like about MSOE?
My first love at MSOE was the Grohmann Museum and it broke my heart that it is now closed to evening students. Aside from that, the staff and faculty are always available to help the students in any way they can.
What would you tell someone who is considering coming to MSOE?
It is a fast-paced school and you have to be prepared to work. But you also have to have balance and have fun. There are many opportunities for both here.
What do you hope to do after graduation?
I will be involved in the entertainment industry. So look for my name in the credits, because you won’t see me on screen.
What do you do in your free time?
I currently work full-time as a cake decorator at Metro Market. And I used to teach cake decorating classes before I decided to get my bachelor's here at MSOE. Now that I also go to school full-time, my free time is filled with homework or housework. But I do have my motorcycle license. I’ve done rock climbing, skydiving, horseback riding, and kick boxing. I still want to drive the pace car at the Milwaukee Mile. I'll let you know how that goes.
