What do you like about the SE program?
The professors are all readily available for help. They really take the time to get to know you as an individual and make sure that your are succeeding.
Why did you choose SE as your major?
I enjoy the problem-solving aspect of programming and software engineering does all of this and more. It teaches you many of the practices in addition to working with teams and delivering a great product.
Why did you choose MSOE?
In addition to the university's reputation and national standing, I chose MSOE because of the small class sizes. You never get lost in a large class and each professor is readily available and interested in helping you learn. This is one of the benefits of having such small class sizes.
What type of advice would you give someone who is considering attending MSOE?
Be proactive. If you have a question, the professors are always just an email away, and you can often stop by their office for an answer or explanation. The professors are really good about helping you with any problems you have so don't wait to look for help.
What do you do in your free time?
In my free time I enjoy playing ultimate frisbee, doing martial arts, and hanging out with friends. There is so much to do in downtown Milwaukee that everyone can find an interest or something to do.
