How did engineering/MSOE prepare you for your current role?
As far as intensity of training, how hard I had to work at MSOE definitely prepared me for the intensity of learning to fly.  Having an engineering background is a lot of help with learning the systems of the plane and the physics background helped a lot in ground school with the aerodynamics classes.

What made you choose MSOE?
It was an engineering school with a good rep where you didn't have to spend an entire year in general education classes first.

What was your favorite aspect of MSOE?
The people and the environment.  The professors honestly cared about every individual and worked hard to do everything they could to help you learn.  Everyone was really out going and friendly and it was like its own small community.

Advice/anything you would want to say to our current MSOE population?
Work hard, a degree from MSOE opens a lot of doors and you'll have plenty of oppurtunities for great new experiences.  Make sure to take advantage of them and don't settle for anything or anyone.

How do you spend your time when not in the air?

Spend most of that time studying or hanging out with the rest of my training flight.  We have gone whitewater rafting, rock climbing, out to movies and all over the area finding cool stuff to do!
