Major: Architectural Engineering
Class: 2012
Where are you from?
I graduated from Mukwonago (Wis.) High School, but have lived in various places throughout Wisconsin.
What do you like about the AE program?
The staff as a whole is fantastic, all are extremely knowledgeable professors who are willing to do everything within their means to help if need be.
Why did you choose AE as your major?
Buildings and the construction industry in general have been a passion of mine since I can remember. MSOE is a very rigorous University with an unmatched reputation, it was a perfect fit.
Why did you choose MSOE?
I chose MSOE because the architectural engineering program is outstanding and it has an unmatched job placement rating for graduates.
What type of advice would you give someone who is considering attending MSOE?
I would tell them MSOE can be very stressful and is not for everyone, but if you are a focused individual who’s trying to do something special with your life, then MSOE is a great place for you. Also to realize MSOE is like any other college, it is a college and that means you can’t take yourself too seriously, otherwise you might miss out on the best years of your life.
What do you do in your free time?
I have been bartending for the past few years, which seems to take up most of my time. I keep my sanity by working out and spending time with my friends. I am a big reader as well, just finishing up How I Became a Famous Novelist by Steve Hely, a real page turner. I have an 11 yr old sister Lyla, 7 yr old sister Lucy, and 6 yr old brother Luke so I am always heading back home when I can to catch a soccer game or T-ball.
