Where are you from?
I was born in Ludwigsburg, Germany but now live in Crystal Lake, Ill., just northwest of Chicago.
What is your major?
I am majoring in mechanical engineering.
What do you like about the University Scholars Program (USP)?
I like having the ability to get to know the same group of people more closely.
Why did you choose MSOE?
I felt that MSOE would provide me with a set of tools that would give me the most diverse set of career options as well as prepare me for future education at a graduate school.
What do you like about your major?
My major takes a very practical and analytical approach to how things work. There is no poetry, it’s all very concise and clean cut. We spend time looking at things that we can actually see in our world which is nice when trying to understand a new concept.
Would you recommend incoming freshmen to join the USP if they are eligible?
I would recommend the USP program to incoming freshman, mostly because they will be able to take classes in an environment that is very catered to their learning method. They are able to receive more personal attention and study with students who learn the same way that they do.
