Databases
For a list of education-related databases that the library has access to, visit Education/Faculty Development Databases. Most of these databases contain links to the full-text articles. To access the databases from off campus, you must be logged onto MSOE's EZProxy Server. For individual instruction on advanced searching within these databases, contact a librarian to set up an appointment.
Finding articles online
If you have are looking for a particular journal article and you are aware of the journal title, use the following resources to see if the library has electronic access to it. If you are using these resources from off-campus, you must be logged onto MSOE's EZProxy Server.
- Electronic Journals A-to-Z List
Search by journal title, then look for MSOE databases that offer that journal. Clicking on the database will bring you up to a publications page. Search for the year, volume, issue, then article you are interested in. - Google Scholar
In Google Scholar, type the exact name of the article into the search box surrounded by quotation marks. Find the correct article on the results list and look for the e-resources@msoe or findit@msoe link. Clicking on this link prompts a program to search through all of MSOE's electronic journal subscriptions to see if we subscribe to the article.
In either case, if the library doesn't have access to an electronic version of the article, we can get a copy of it for you through Interlibrary Loan.
