All of the library's protected databases are remotely available to MSOE students and employees.
To access the protected databases from off campus, simply click the on-campus link to the database. You do not need to click the off-campus access link.
When you click the on-campus link to a database from off campus, you will be prompted to input your MSOE username and password. After you successfully input your MSOE username and password, you will be able to access the protected database.
A few helpful tips:
- In order to access the protected library databases from off campus, you must not be logged into MyMSOE. Instead, access the databases directly from one of the links on the library's databases page.
- In order to access the protected library databases from off campus, you must not be logged into inside.msoe.edu. Instead, access the databases directly from one of the links on the library's databases page.
- In order to access the protected library databases from off campus, you must not be logged into the MSOE VPN. Instead, access the databases directly from one of the links on the library's databases page.
- If you configured Internet Explorer or Firefox for the previous proxy server follow the previous database user instructions on this page to allow for normal internet browsing and use of the new Proxy Server.
