The first floor is a quiet Study Floor. No talking, no group study, and no cell phone use permitted on this floor.
Located on the first floor of the library are the following:
- The print periodical and magazine collection
- Some special book collections are located on this floor (Senior Design Projects, Master's Theses, ASTM Standards).
- The microfiche collection of selected journals and SAE papers
- Two microfiche reader/copiers
- The MSOE Archives
