EN 700 MSE Capstone Project Library Tutorial

Introduction

Welcome to the Milwaukee School of Engineering's MSE Capstone Project Library Research Tutorial in support of EN-700.

MSOE's Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) program is an interdisciplinary engineering course of study with primary emphases in the areas of electrical engineering (EE) and mechanical engineering (ME). A key component of the MSE program is the breadth of engineering background that students gain in areas of mathematics, systems engineering, and both EE and ME. Additionally, students are offered some degree of concentration by their selection of an engineering option and their selection of an engineering project.

The engineering options are EE, ME, and fluid power engineering. The EE option focuses primarily on the areas of control systems, electronics and circuit design. The ME option focuses on the areas of engineering materials and mechanical design. The fluid power engineering option focuses on hydraulic system modeling and controls. Instead of a thesis requirement, the MSE program culminates in a six-credit capstone engineering project.

Library research in support of the MSE Capstone Project tends to focus on the effort to generate a relevant and comprehensive literature review.

The MSOE Library has assembled a number of resources that can be employed quickly and efficiently to locate useful resources.
