Where can I find articles on topics in medical informatics?

  • The library has many databases that may help you. To access these databases go to the Articles and Databases List. Our databases are arranged alphabetically, by subject and by academic major.
  • Because medical informatics encompasses business, applied science and medical applications, specialized library databases covering each of the areas of knowledge must be searched.

How can I get journal articles or books not available through the Library?

  • The MSOE Library provides free interlibrary loan services for articles and books not available from MSOE or MCW. Check out Borrow From Other Libraries for information on how to request items.
  • You can also use ClioWeb, our interlibrary loan interface which allows you to place requests, check the status of requests, and keep track of due dates on interlibrary loan materials.

Click here to login into ClioWeb. Use your MSOE username and password for the login.
  • Another option is to request an InfoPass at the Circulation Desk. This pass can be taken to a lending library and used to check out items we do not have. To see which libraries in the area own a specific title, search WISCAT (The WISconsin CATalog). "Locations" lists call numbers and lending library information needed for InfoPass.

To access these databases from off-campus simply click on the direct link to the database. When promoted input your MSOE username and password. Make sure you are not logged into MyMSOE, inside.msoe.edu, or the VPN when accessing databases off campus.
