Print Collection

The print collection is accessed through the Horizon online catalog (available on and off-campus with no login/password necessary).

  1. Go to the MSOE Library home page
  2. Click on the icon for CATALOG
  3. Click on the link: Click here to search the MSOE Library catalog
  4. Use the HOME search box for a general keyword search… this will look for your search terms in author, title, subject, and notes fields.
  5. Try the Search Folder, Advanced Search if you want to limit to a particular medium (e.g. Master’s theses, videos, senior design projects, etc.)

EXAMPLE:

  1. Type HDTV in the Home search box. Currently six titles will appear from the oldest title entered into the system to the newest.
  2. Click on #4. Digital video and HDTV: algorithms and interfaces. Scroll towards the bottom of the screen for Copy/Holding information. This will give you the call number to find the book on the shelf in the proper Collection area and also show the status of the book (available or checked out).
