For a search about teenage pregnancy, follow the following steps:
- Access NRC.
- Enter the terms teenage pregnancy into the find box.
- Click Subdivisions to see what areas you might want to explore on this subject.
- Click Risk Factors. You should see over 40 different articles on this subject. If the article isn't available in full text from NRC, click on the "Use LinkSource to find the full text" to see whether the article is available in another database, or you can request the article through Interlibrary Loan.
- To see all the articles, interventions, and care plans about teenage pregnancy, type teenage pregnancy in the Quick Search box on the left side of the page. The Quick Search will find everything in the database that talks about teenage pregnancy.

For this class assignment, you will probably want to spend most of your time searching CINAHL. We will cover other databases later, which will also assist in finding articles for your presentation.
This database uses controlled vocabulary, or indexed terms to allow you to reduce the number of words or phrases you need to use to find a topic. For example, say we have a research question to find articles from the last three years on nursing the pregnant teenager.
