Getting Started
Wikipedia is a great place to start researching a topic. It is a good place to collect information such as:
- Terminology
- Names of contributors to the field
- Companies that are involved in the field
- Links to related articles
Wikipedia articles are usually a quick read and they contain links to other relevant topics. Most articles also include links to outside resources.
Follow the References
According to the Verifiability policy, all Wikipedia articles should contain references to where the information was collected from. Wikipedia makes it very easy for users to find these references- just follow the links.
Clicking on [1] takes you right to the citation, which can be found near the bottom of the article. Looking at this citation, it is clear that this information about "aerospace engineering" came from an article in the Encyclopedia Britanncia.

If you wanted to use this information in a paper, it would be a good idea to go directly to the Encyclopedia Britannica article and use that as a reference, rather than this Wikipedia article.
