What is it?
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers or IEEE, is an international professional organization that publishes high quality technical literature in electrical engineering, computer science, and electronics.
Use IEEE Xplore to get full text access to IEEE journals, transactions, and magazines; IEEE conference proceedings; IET journals and conference proceedings; and all current IEEE standards.

Search for standards, journal articles, conference proceedings and magazine articles all at once using IEEE Xplore! You'll get full text access to nearly everything in this database.
This database is about more than electrical engineering- find information about a broad range of disciplines, including electric power and energy, biomedical technology and healthcare, information technology, information assurance, telecommunications, consumer electronics, transportation, aerospace, and nanotechnology.
Did you know- MSOE's access to IEEE allows you to check out articles that haven't been published yet? View preprint articles by browsing specific journals and clicking on "forth coming articles," or do a search using the phrase "accepted for publication."
How does it work?
If you are on MSOE's network, just go to IEEE Xplore. The database will recognize your IP address and give you access to all the materials we subscribe to. (If you are off campus, you will need to log onto the proxy server.)
Jump right into a search by entering terms into the basic search box. Use the advanced search screen to limit your search to fields such as author, publication title or document title. You can also browse particular journal or magazine titles or standards.
Did you know- you can search by author affiliation? Look for articles written by faculty of Milwaukee School of Engineering or check out the latest papers published by Google employees.
