ASM Handbooks

What is it?

All 21 volumes of the ASM Handbooks and the Metals Handbook and the Engineered Materials Handbook online! That’s over 175 lbs of books, more than 20,000 pages and over 10 feet of shelf space crammed into one easy to use online database.



Why use it?

It’s a one-stop place to find information about:

  • materials processes
  • materials properties
  • materials performance
  • materials selection. 
Search through all 21 volumes at once!

 

How does it work?

If you are on MSOE's network, just go to ASM Handbooks. The database will recognize your IP address and give you access to all the materials we subscribe to. (If you are off campus, you will need to log onto the proxy server.)


Browse through the tables of contents of each of the volumes using the navigation on the left side of the page.


Conduct a keyword search by typing a word or phrase into the search box on the top right-side of the page, press GO or enter to search.  More search tips
