"It's almost easier than Google!"
What is it?
ScienceDirect is a full text database that covers scientific information- it is one of the largest collections of its kind. Use ScienceDirect to find scholarly, scientific journal articles- the kind of articles your professors want you to use!
ScienceDirect covers the following subjects:
- Physical Sciences and Engineering
- Life Sciences
- Health Sciences
- Social Sciences and Humanities
Why use it?
- It is easy to use and provides instant access to most of the articles.
- ScienceDirect covers over 2,500 journals and 6,000 reference books.
- If you are looking for scientific information, you will find it here!
How does it work?
If you are on MSOE's network, just go to ScienceDirect.com. The database will recognize your IP address and give you access to all the materials we subscribe to. (If you are off campus, you will need to log onto the proxy server.)
Begin a search by typing keywords into the title, abstract, keyword box and click on go. A list of articles will appear. Many of the articles are available in FULL TEXT! For help searching, contact a librarian or view the ScienceDirect Interactive Tutorials.
