Sports Illustrated is a vibrant, compelling magazine largely because of the photographs, taken by some of the best professionals in the business, which emphasize the drama and emotion of sports. However, SI is well-known for the quality of the journalism, too. It covers the major sports (the current issue, now on the Current Periodicals spinning display on the 2nd floor, features basketball star LeBron James on the cover) but also touches on less promoted sports, such as figure skating.
The latest issue will usually appear in the library on the Friday before the cover date. The older issues are housed on the first floor under the call number GV S61 .S733 and we keep them for two years so you can still read an older issue if you missed it on a busy week.
Late in February, the much-coveted annual swimsuit issue is published in addition to the regular issues. Due to its high demand, this issue is located at the circulation desk. Bring your MSOE ID and you can peruse it in-house when it arrives in the middle of the month.
