Muscle & Fitness If your New Year's resolutions include getting in shape, the library has two monthly fitness magazines to help you stick to your goals.


The latest issue of Muscle and Fitness, February 2009, offers an "ultimate 4-week starter's guide" for a complete workout and diet. This magazine always has lots of articles about building your physique, eating to sculpt muscle and burning fat, and motivational stories about well-known athletes.


Shape For women, the library subscribes to Shape, also aimed at the health-conscious. The most recent issue is February 2009, with articles about "the diet mistake even slim women make," Reese Witherspoon's workout tips, and how to lose 10 lbs. this month. There are also healthy recipes and beauty and fashion information.


The latest issues can be found on the spinning magazine rack on the main floor of the library. Older issues can be found on the first floor of the library on the low shelves near the windows. These magazines and journals are kept in call number order; the call number for Muscle and Fitness is GV481 .J64, and the call number for Shape is GV201 .S1.


Electronic versions of both magazines are available from the Electronic journals A-to-Z list  - just type in the title to access the content online.
