Student Leadership Dinner

Time: 6 p.m.

Each year in May, Dr. Hermann Viets, the President of MSOE, invites the student leaders from around campus to attend a banquet to show his appreciation for all they have done to make MSOE an outstanding university. Those invited are from athletic teams, student organizations, award nominees, university department representatives, resident assistants, orientation assistants, peer mentors, presidential scholars, regents, student government executives, greek council executives, student union board executives, university officials and special university guests.

At this very special event, a number of awards are presented to individual students whose leadership efforts and accomplishments during their educational career at MSOE merit particular distinction and recognition.

Oscar Werwath Distinguished Teacher Award
The Oscar Werwath Distinguished Teacher Award was established by the university in 1967 to recognize excellence in teaching. The recipient is selected by students. This award is sponsored annually by the Student Government Association (SGA).
