Each year, Dr. Hermann Viets, the President of MSOE, invites the student leaders from around campus to attend a banquet to show his appreciation for all they have done to make MSOE an outstanding university. Those invited are from athletic teams, student organizations, award nominees, university department representatives, resident assistants, orientation assistants, peer mentors, presidential scholars, regents, student government executives, greek council executives, student union board executives, university officials and special university guests.
At this very special event, a number of awards are presented to individual students whose leadership efforts and accomplishments during their educational career at MSOE merit particular distinction and recognition.
Those outstanding student leaders who receive an invitation to this annual event, are encouraged to attend and be recognized by your peers and university officials.
