Student Activities

The MSOE Office of Student Activities strives to accomplish its mission by:

  • Leadership Opportunities: Providing and supporting leadership opportunities through the 70+ club sports, government, greek, honorary, professional, religious, service and special interest student organizations at MSOE.
  • Issue Input: Providing students opportunities for input on issues that effect the entire student body.
  • Quality Activities: Providing a variety of quality activities and events that range from recreationally entertaining to the intellectually challenging.
  • Community Interaction: Developing and promoting activities and events that allow students to positively interact with the community in which they live.
  • Program Oversight: Advises and works directly with the Student Union Board (SUB) and Greek Council (fraternities and sororities) to provide programming on campus along with the development and support of campus traditions.
  • Campus Center: Works closely with facilities staff and other campus departments to foster a positive environment and effective usage of the Student Life and Campus Center building.
  • Advocating Wellness: Being an advocate for the development of the whole student through the Wellness-dimension philosophy.
  • Campus Traditions: Overseeing the planning and production of traditional campus events: Welcome Week, Presidents Picnic, Greek Recruitment Week, Parents/Family Weekend, St. Patrick's Week, Student Leadership Dinner, Quiz Bowl, Last Lecture Series, and Campus and Community Fair.
  • Faculty/Staff/Student Interaction: Providing a conduit for student interaction with faculty and staff members outside of the classroom.
  • CCID: The Campus Center Information Desk provides service and information about campus and community events that are of interest to our students, staff, faculty and alumni.
  • Mailing Lists: Providing oversight to the various campus mailing lists that keep our campus community informed.
  • Student Life Departments Work closely with other Student Life Departments (Athletics, Servant-Leadership, Health Services, Counseling, Women's Connections, TRIO, Learning Resource Center, and Mentor Program) to provide service and support to our students.

Mission Statement
The purpose of the Office of Student Activities is to complement the overall academic mission of the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) by providing and enhancing co-curricular activities which promote involvement in student organizations and nurtures the individual student's social, occupational, spiritual, physical, intellectual, and emotional wellness. Students are challenged through diverse experiences, which provide them continued opportunities to experience personal growth.
