On-Campus Interviews
Posted 09/12/2009 8:20 AM
On-campus interviews are one of the best ways to secure a job. Employers come directly to campus to interview you, which removes a lot of the hassle. Here is some information about the process, as well as some tips and reminders:
The Process
- You must have your resume in Career Net.
- ~3 weeks prior to the interview you will receive an announcement e-mail. Click the link in the e-mail to tell us the times you are NOT available on the interview day.
- You will typically have 1 week to respond.
- ~1 week prior to the interview you will receive notification as to whether or not you are selected.
- If selected, you will receive a link to view the schedule. Click the "Accept" button to let us know you will be there.
TIPS
- Watch your junk e-mail folder for interview e-mails.
- Build an Expressume online portfolio. Some employers will require it this year.
- If the job description requires certain skills, make sure your Career Net resume reflects your skills in those areas.
- Contact the Career Placement Office if you have questions about the on-campus interview process. 414-277-7120.
