The Learning Resource Center's ESL Coordinator offers assistance to all international and other ESL students at MSOE. Students can receive help with grammar, writing, pronunciation, and listening and conversational skills by making an appointment for individual assistance.
The ESL coordinator also works with other MSOE departments like Admission and Student Life, to develop programs and resources for international students to help make their international experience a positive one.
ESL Bridge Program
The ESL Coordinator directs MSOE's ESL Bridge Program, which is offered to those international students accepted into a degree program at MSOE, but who have a TOEFL score between 61-78 (Internet based). The program bridges the gap between the English language skills the international students possess and the skills they need to be academically successful at MSOE.
The ESL Bridge Program:
- lasts one year
- involves one reading/writing course and one speaking/listening couse per quarter
- allows students to also take two courses within their degree program
each quarter.
For more information about the program, contact Abigail Goelzer, ESL Coordinator, at (414) 277-7456.
If you are an international student interested in enrolling at MSOE, please contact Caleb Black, our International Admissions Counselor, at 414-277-2275
