Raider Plan FAQs

What is the Raider Plan?
The Raider Plan is a debit card type plan. Money deposited into your Raider Plan account can be used to make cash free purchases at various campus locations. Your Raider Plan allows you to buy necessities such as food, laundry, vending products and Bookstore items without having to carry cash or change.

Who has a Raider Plan?
MSOE students, faculty and staff who possess a valid MSOE identification (ID) card may participate. Members of the Kern Center with valid membership IDs also can participate.

Can I participate in "The Raider Plan" if I have a point meal plan?
Yes. The Raider Plan has been developed to add additional services and more flexibility to your ID card, in that it can be used for vending, laundry (residents only), access, as well as RWJ Dining, Roscoe's, Skylight Market Place, Kern Center concessions and various off-campus merchants.

How do I open a Raider Plan?
All accounts in the ID system are opened with the Raider Plan active. You can add money at one of the CSVT locations on campus, the Office of Student Accounts, or on the web at GETfunds.

CVST locations:
  • Library - across from the check-out desk
  • Student Life and Campus Center - across from the Bookstore entrance
  • RWJ Residence Hall - TV Lounge
You can open a Raider Plan with a minimum deposit of $10. There is no minimum balance required and additional deposits can be added throughout the quarter.

You have the option of adding money at the Office of Student Accounts or by mailing a check. If you are sending a check, be sure to write your student, faculty or staff ID number on your check and mark the memo/for line with "Raider Plan". If you are a Kern Center member, your number is on the ID card.

Make checks payable to MSOE and send to the following address:

You now have the option of adding to the Raider Plan with GETfunds. Login using your MSOE network user id and password. The click on "Add Funds" and enter the necessary information. The amount is added to your plan and is ready to use.

Can I take cash out of my Raider Plan?
No. Cash withdrawals are not permitted. You can only make deposits to your Raider Plan. Balances remaining at the end of any quarter will carry over for use the next quarter and will continue to be held until graduation or official withdrawal from the university. (Balances less than $5.00 will not be refunded.)

Can I check my Raider Plan balance at any time?
At the time of each transaction or purchase, your plan balance will appear at the card reader. Plan transaction history is available through GETfunds and can be printed, if needed.

What if I lose my card?
If you lose your ID card, you can log onto GETfunds and mark your card lost. If you find your card, just log onto GETfunds and mark that you have found your card. The replacement fee for a lost or stolen card is $10.

Can I make future deposits by mail?
Yes. Be sure to write your student number on your check and include a note explaining that you're making a deposit to your Raider Plan. Then mail your deposit to:
