Snow Days
Be advised that "Snow Days," during which MSOE classes are canceled, are VERY rare. If severe weather or another event leads to the cancellation of classes, the decision to close the university will be made as early as possible on the day in question so that the closing information can be included in the local media closing reports.

Main campus

The university announces cancellations in the following ways:
  1. broadcast on area television stations during their "school closings announcements" including WTMJ-TV4, WITI-TV6, WISN-TV12, and radio stations including WMSE, WTMJ, WKTI, WISN, WOKY, WLZR, WEMP, WLUM
  2. a notice posted on the MSOE home page
  3. an e-mail message sent to all faculty, staff and students

Off-campus Locations

The university announces outreach closings in the following ways:

  1. broadcast on area television and radio stations during their school closing announcements
  2. a notice posted on the MSOE home page

If no closing is announced as above, assume that classes are in session and MSOE is conducting business as usual.
