We in housing are very excited to have you move into the residence halls and we want to make your move as smooth as possible. Here is some helpful information that you should read so you will save yourself some extra work on your move-in day.
Step #1:
Make sure you know your room information telling you what residence hall and room you are in. If you do not know what your room number is, please give us a call.
Step #2:
Upon your arrival at MSOE, check-in to the residence halls in the RWJ Game Room located on the first floor at 1121 N. Milwaukee Street. Here you will sign for your room key and receive other information.
Step #3:
Go to your room and get checked-in by your Resident Assistant (RA). Your RA will complete the room condition report with you. Once you verify the report's accuracy and sign it, you're ready to move in!
Step #4:
Now it's time to move your personal possessions into your room.
Move-in Schedule
Residents are scheduled to move-in according to this timetable:
- Fall move-in schedule
- We move about 850 students into the residence halls in only a couple of days. We ask that you follow this schedule to make your move a pleasant one.
- Returning residents: If you have a conflict with the move-in schedule dates, all returning residents are welcome to move-in between the dates of Thursday, Sept. 5 to Sunday, Sept. 8. No returning resident requests to move-in to the residence halls prior to Sept. 5 will be approved. Freshman residents are required to move-in to the residence halls the weekend of August 31st - Sept. 1 for MSOE’s Freshman orientation.
Not Planning to Return?
Please notify us if you do not plan to return to the residence halls in the fall. Those students who have not notified the housing department may be subject to additional charges.
