Are you or someone you know an outstanding LEADER?
IF YES, then please considering nominating YOURSELF or another OUTSTANDING MSOE STUDENT LEADER for the
THOMAS W. DAVIS
STUDENT LEADERSHIP AWARD
About the Award: This Leadership Award is named for Thomas W. Davis, a past Vice-President of Academics. The idea for the award was proposed by MSOE students as a way of honoring the leadership principles important to Mr. Davis during his many years of service to MSOE. The inaugural Thomas W. Davis Student Leadership award was presented in the spring of 1995, a year after Tom Davis left MSOE to continue his professional career in business and industry.
The THOMAS W. DAVIS STUDENT LEADERSHIP AWARD has the goal to recognize a student each year that has provided exemplary leadership in some aspect of his or her life at MSOE. Specifically, the award seeks to honor the student's effectiveness in the following aspects of leadership: 1) inspiring and helping people to work together to set and achieve goals; 2) working successfully with superiors, peers, and members of other organizations; and 3) balancing the needs and goals of self, MSOE and others. The award consists of $250 and a plaque.
Students, staff, faculty, student organizations and individuals are encouraged to nominate an outstanding student(s). Students can also self-nominate (just as you would if you were applying for a personal scholarship).
These awards are presented at the at the Annual Student Leadership Dinner on Wednesday, May 7th, 2014. This dinner is hosted by the President of MSOE, Dr. Hermann Viets. All nominees are invited to the dinner and will receive an invitation to this dinner. http://www.msoe.edu/events/1145
