MSOE environmental symposia announced

Sustainability will be the theme of this year's three-part symposia program sponsored by MSOE's Master of Science in Environmental Engineering program. The first program, slated for Tuesday, Oct. 10, is Taking Sustainability Seriously: Drivers, Metrics, and Benefits, sponsored by Miller Brewing Co. Panelists will discuss topics including how companies are defining sustainability, drivers for taking sustainability seriously, measurement, incorporation into operations, benefits and bottom-line impact.
Topics and presenters will be:
•What Are Drivers for Taking Sustainability Seriously? by Lyman Wible, principal, Kestrel Management Services LLC
•Miller Brewing Company Perspective by Kim Marotta, director of corporate social responsibility, Miller Brewing Co.
•The Sigma Group Perspective by Kenneth Kaszubowski, P.E., principal, The Sigma Group
•Cook Composites and Polymers' Perspective by Glenn Preisler, Saukville plant manager, Cook Composites and Polymers
•Eco-Municipality Model for Sustainable Communities by Lisa MacKinnon, policy director, 1000 Friends of Wisconsin
The evening begins with a 6-7 p.m. social hour, followed by a 7-9 p.m. program in the Multipurpose Room (3rd floor) of MSOE's Student Life and Campus Center, 1025 N. Broadway.
