Milwaukee’s award-winning radio station WMSE FM 91.7 is celebrating its 24th anniversary March 17 with a special "24 Years, 24 Hours" celebration. Festivities will include on-air giveaways and prizes every hour.  The station will begin its 24 hour celebration at 12:01a.m. Thursday, March 17.

Throughout the day, shows will feature live testimonials from current WMSE DJs and special playlists highlighting WMSE’s 24-year history on the air in Milwaukee.

The day will also begin WMSE’s Last Chance T-shirt Sale which will run through April 1.  The sale announces the last chance to purchase WMSE T-shirts and various merchandise before prices increase on April 1.  T-shirts will be available at the station and online at www.wmse.org.

WMSE’s unique and eclectic programming has continued to fill the musical void in Milwaukee’s radio market since 1981.  It was ten years ago on March 17, 1995 that WMSE increased its power from 1000 watts to 3200 watts.  In March 1999, the station relocated its facilities and began streaming live on its website.  WMSE is now also available via the popular iTunes music player, apple.com/itunes. WMSE is owned and operated by Milwaukee School of Engineering.
