MSOE Kern Center offers public memberships

MSOE's new recreation facility, the Kern Center, is now offering memberships to the public. Located at Broadway and Knapp Street (1245 N. Broadway), the facility's Fitness Center offers inspiring views from its two-story glass ellipse for workouts on cardiovascular and strength training equipment. Equipment includes treadmills, bikes, recumbent bikes and cross-trainers, 50 strength training pieces and free weights.
Basketball courts, the 160-meter running track and open skating in the Ice Arena will be available on a limited basis. Other services include a juice and snack bar, daily lockers, towel service and skate rentals.Access ranges from an individual community membership for $480 to discounted rates for non prime-time usage, for seniors and corporate rates are available.
The first such facility for MSOE, the Kern Center offers students access to fitness whether they are participating in NCAA Division III athletics, intramural sports or individual fitness programs.
