High school students test mettle at regional math and science bowl

Results are in from the regional section of the U.S. Department of Energy National Science Bowl competition. Teams from throughout Wisconsin and Illinois high schools competed in this challenging Jeopardy-style competition on subjects such as astronomy, biology, physics, chemistry, computers, the earth and general sciences.
The competition was hosted Feb. 1 by Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) and sponsored by Johnson Controls of Milwaukee.
The first place team, Whitefish Bay High School, will receive an expense-paid trip to the National Science Bowl April 29-May 3 in Chevy Chase, Md.
