HUSCO International, a manufacturer of hydraulic and electrohydraulic controls and control valves for off-road highway equipment based in Waukesha, Wis., has established annual scholarships at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) for students interested in the fluid power field.
Up to five scholarships of $3,000 each will be awarded annually to students from the Midwest who are studying mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology at MSOE. The students must be sophomore level or higher and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 to qualify for the scholarship. HUSCO's Agustin Ramirez, chairman and CEO, is a member of MSOE's Board of Regents.
MSOE is a leader in fluid power technology education through the university's Mechanical Engineering Department and Fluid Power Institute, which was established in 1962. Today, the Institute is a leading education, research and product evaluation facility that conducts numerous seminars on specific aspects of fluid power and provides students with unequalled laboratory experience.
