MSOE wrestler Matt Schoenherr (Tomahawk, Wis.) was one of only 15 male student-athletes in the country named to the 2004 CoSida Men's Spring At-Large College Division Academic All-America Team.

There are eight districts in the CoSida College Division represented by all NCAA Division II, III and NAIA schools. The spring at-large field consists of 12 male sports, fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming, tennis, volleyball, water polo and wrestling.

With a 39-6 record and cumulative 3.83 G.P.A., Schoenherr was the second men's NCAA All-American at MSOE, an honor received by finishing as one of the top eight wrestlers in Division III. He is a three-time Lake Michigan Conference champion and a three-time National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Academic. He holds the school career for most wins (123) and most pins (33). Schoenherr and Matt Hopf were named MSOE Co-Senior Scholar Athletes of the Year.
