Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) senior students will get their chance to display and demonstrate their designs and prototypes - a year's worth of work and sweat -- at the annual Senior Design Show 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. Friday, May 21.
Nearly 50 projects with industrial, medical and consumer applications will be presented at intervals between in MSOE's Allen-Bradley Hall of Science (Kilbourn Avenue and Milwaukee Street) and the Student Life and Campus Center, 1025 N. Broadway. Here are just a few of the highlights:
-
- Submarine simulation - this is a project in conjunction with the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, creating a simulation of the conning tower on a WW II fleet submarine. (Campus Center, Room #44)
- Induction Cook top - uses electromagnet with an alternating current to cook; by only heating the pan, instead of heating it through the surface nearly all energy goes into food cooking. (Allen-Bradley Hall of Science, Room S-362 (floor 3))
- Two-level research rocket for Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium (Campus Center, floor 3)
