Grant Aldonas, under secretary of commerce for international trade, U.S. Department of Commerce, will lead a roundtable discussion on manufacturing issues from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2003, at the MSOE Todd Wehr Conference Center.
In March, Commerce Secretary Don Evans announced the Bush Administration's manufacturing agenda, and Under Secretary Aldonas was tapped to lead a comprehensive look at both the challenges and opportunities facing American manufacturing. As a part of this effort, Aldonas plans to hold a series of roundtable discussions in cities across the country that focus on particular segments of the manufacturing industry.
At this event in Milwaukee, Aldonas will go over the Administration's manufacturing agenda and hear the concerns of the area's manufacturing companies.
Those wishing to attend are welcome. MSOE's Todd Wehr Conference Center is located at 1047 N. Broadway (and Highland); parking is available on the street or in the MSOE lot across Broadway (enter at Broadway and Highland).
