Milwaukee School of Engineering's (MSOE) electrical engineering senior design team of Michael Coyle (Wauwatosa, Wis.), Lee Sharping (Waukesha, Wis.), Rebecca Southworth (Milwaukee) and Jeff Mathis (Spearfish, S.D.) took second place in the Expert Division of the international Trinity College Fire-Fighting Robot Contest in Connecticut April 12 and 13.
The team also took first place as the “most innovative or inventive” design. The team has been working on the robot in its EE-407, 408 and 409 classes, which began last September. The team’s advisor is Dr. Steven Reyer, a professor in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department.
