Patron of engineers gets top billing again at MSOE

St. Patrick is the patron saint of engineers, so the students at MSOE will again celebrate the holiday in the customary fashion -- a week of green, white and orange activities that culminates in the crowning of St. Pat and his/her court who then “rule the school.”

Come and see the Carnival booths built by MSOE\'s fraternities and sororities as they compete to crown St. Patrick.

Tuesday, March 18
5:30 p.m. ENGINEERING OLYMPICS
Student Life and Campus Center, floor 3, 1025 N. Broadway
Students compete in wacky games that involve engineering.

Wednesday, March 19
5 p.m. MSOE COUNTERSTRIKE CLUB EVENT
Student Life and Campus Center, floor 3, 1025 N. Broadway
Students play the popular and challenging Counterstrike on their laptops – a slice of 21st-century campus life. Sponsored by the MSOE Counterstrike Club.

Thursday, March 20
5:30 p.m. STUDENTS VS. FACULTY/STAFF BASKETBALL GAME AND CHARITY AUCTION
Sports Center at St. John’s Cathedral, 840 N. Jackson (and Kilbourn)
Watch some over-the-hill faculty and take on MSOE students (including some members of the men’s NCAA Division III conference champions -- MSOE). A half-time charity will raise money for the Ronald McDonald House.

Saturday, March 22
10:30 a.m. NEW -- POT OF GOLD SCAVENGER HUNT
Begins at Student Life and Campus Center, floor 3, 1025 N. Broadway
Students will scurry to try and win a pot of gold ($500) and other goodies during this scavenger hunt.

Founded in 1903, MSOE is celebrating its first 100 years.

MSOE is an independent university with about 2,600 students. MSOE offers 16 bachelor’s degrees in areas such as engineering, nursing, business, management information systems, technical communication, engineering technology and construction management. Graduate study includes engineering, engineering management, environmental engineering, structural engineering, medical informatics and perfusion.
