Information business leader to receive Commencement honors

George Dalton, chairman of the board, CEO and founder of Call_Solutions.com Inc., will receive an honorary Doctor of Business and Economics degree from Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) at the university’s Winter Commencement March 1.

Dalton is a founder, former chairman and CEO of Fiserv Inc., the leading provider of information management services for the financial industry, where Dalton created a multi-billion dollar worldwide enterprise by acquiring more than 90 companies into the Fiserv organization. Call_Solutions.com is a leading acquirer and integrator of specialized, one-to-one marketing services companies.

An MSOE Regent since 1997, Dalton served as chairman of the Board of Regents from 1999 to 2002.

Dalton, who attended Northwestern University, continued his education by completing The Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has been recognized with numerous awards for his business leadership including the Arthur Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Financial World CEO of the Year, and The Harvard Business School Club of Wisconsin and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Wisconsin Business Leader of the Year awards.

MSOE’s Winter Commencement will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 1 at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.

Founded in 1903, MSOE is celebrating its first 100 years.
