Just in time for opening day in Milwaukee, Tim Kaebisch, a student at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), has completed a replica version of Miller Park almost entirely out of LEGO® bricks.
Seven years in the making, the three-foot model of Miller Park is complete with a motorized retractable roof that opens and closes, concession areas, press boxes, fans and players, Bernie's Dugout and slide - and much more!
Kaebisch is studying architectural engineering at MSOE. He created the mini-Miller Park in his free time. He took many tours of the real Miller Park throughout the construction phase and after it was completed to study the building's details in order to replicate it with LEGO® bricks.
Each of the previous six versions of Kaebisch's Miller Park was more elaborate and intricate than the one before. He transitioned from using detailed drawings on large graph paper to using sophisticated CAD software to create a CAD model and build the final version.
The mini-Miller Park is currently on display for free public viewing in the Walter Schroeder Library at MSOE, 500 E. Kilbourn St. Read more...
