Elementary Students Make Donation to MSOE

Fifth grade students from Milwaukee Spanish Immersion School visited Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) on Friday, May 16. Girls from the fifth grade class made scarves and sold them to raise scholarship money in honor of Firouzeh Keshmiri. The students presented several scarves and a check for $400 to Dr. Hermann Viets, president of MSOE. 
Firouzeh Keshmiri was a valued member of the Mechanical Engineering Department at MSOE for 20 years, and recently passed away. Two of her children are students at Milwaukee Spanish Immersion School.
Also during their visit to MSOE the students toured the campus and learned about engineering principles. They saw MSOE's construction, chemistry and nursing labs, the mechanical engineering areas (including a wind tunnel), and a software demonstration.
