Steven C. Bialek, Ph.D., Named Chairman of MSOE Rader School of Business

Dr. Steven C. Bialek has been named chairman of the Rader School of Business at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). He served as interim department chair for the past two years. Dr. Bialek provides leadership in the areas of curriculum, faculty recruitment and promotion, strategy development and execution for the department of 11 full-time and 35 part-time faculty. He is also an associate professor and teaches in the areas of organizational behavior, leadership and project management. The MSOE Rader School of Business enrolls over 200 undergraduate students and 125 graduate students in business management and information technology degree programs.
Prior to joining MSOE in 2001, Dr. Bialek worked for the University of Wisconsin System. He spent time at UW-Madison Department of Engineering Professional Development, and provided strategic planning expertise for UW-Waukesha Student Services, UW-Oshkosh Division of Student Services, UW System Administration Office of Academic Affairs, and UW System Office of Professional and Instructional Development.
Other professional experiences include serving as director of part-time enrollment and graduate admission for Milwaukee School of Engineering, acting director of continuing education for Wisconsin Lutheran College and director of student activities at Grinnell College in Iowa.
Dr. Bialek holds a bachelor's degree from UW-Green Bay, master's from UW-Milwaukee and Ph.D. from UW-Madison. A native of Manitowoc, Wis., Dr. Bialek and his wife Jodie Jens live in Oconomowoc, Wis. They have two children, Michaela, age 6, and Isabelle, age 4.
