College and University Rankings

A number of organizations rank U.S. colleges and universities on an annual basis and each of them has their own set of criteria. Milwaukee School of Engineering typically ranks very well each year.

The Princeton Review
The Princeton Review, a New York City-based education services company, selected MSOE as one of the 158 institutions it recommends in its "Best in the Midwest" section 2009 Best Colleges: Region by Region.

Forbes.com
MSOE is on Forbes.com's first-ever list of America's Best Colleges 2008, which includes the top 15% of colleges and universities in the country.

CosmoGIRL
CosmoGIRL magazine listed MSOE among the 100 Best Colleges (2007) in a ranking it does in partnership with The Princeton Review.

U.S. News and World Report
MSOE was again among U.S. News & World Report's Best Colleges and Universities in the country.

  • MSOE was ranked 7th on the Best Undergraduate Colleges in the Midwest list among colleges that focus on undergraduate education, moving up three places on the list compared to last year.
  • MSOE was ranked 11th in the Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs category among engineering schools whose highest degree is a bachelor's or master's.
