MSOE receives Youth Employment Partnership Award

City of Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett presented Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) with the Youth Employment Partnership Award. MSOE received the award in recognition of its support of the City of Milwaukee's Earn & Learn summer job program for teens. The program introduces Milwaukee teens to different working environments and provides them with skills they may use to launch into other employment opportunities or even college. A total of 1,500 teens worked this summer in city internships, community-based positions or at jobs with local participating companies.
Earn & Learn organizers and participants used MSOE's facilities for various group exercises and training sessions. Vice President Armund Janto accepted the award on behalf of the university.
