In response to one of the coldest winters in recent history comes red hot relief. The 7th Annual Rockabilly Chili Cook-off is taking place at MSOE's Kern center, and heats up on Sunday, March 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Families are welcome, and so are their appetites.
Skip breakfast, as 39 local restaurants put their chili recipes to the test in hopes of taking home the coveted Best Meat Chili or Best Veggie Chili titles. Admission is $6 and each serving of chili costs $1.
Proceeds from this event will benefit 91.7 FM, WMSE, Milwaukee's legendary non-commercial alternative radio station, serving the Milwaukee community for over 27 years by offering the most diverse music programming in the city. The event will feature cash bars serving local beer supplied by the Milwaukee Ale House as well as great music presented by WMSE program hosts, Jonny Z (The Chicken Shack) and Dietrich (Saturday Morning Car Tunes).
