The International Exchange Program in Electrical Engineering at MSOE has received the Innovative Program Award from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Heads Association (ECEDHA).
The award is given to individuals or departments that have created, implemented and sustained a successful innovative program. The award is considered annually and during the 16 years it has existed, the award has been granted six times. MSOE is only the fifth university to be honored, joining Carnegie Mellon University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Drexel University and Purdue University.
For more than 15 years, students at MSOE and Lübeck University of Applied Sciences have participated in the International Exchange Program. MSOE students can spend their junior year studying in Lübeck, Germany. Electrical engineering students spend 30 hours in classes each week, and upon graduation, participating students receive degrees from both universities.
MSOE also offers exchange programs in Lübeck for mechanical engineering and international business students, as well as other study abroad opportunities. More information is available online: http://www.msoe.edu/academics/study_abroad/
MSOE is an independent university with about 2,600 students. MSOE offers 17 bachelor's degrees and nine master's degrees in the engineering, engineering technology, architectural engineering and building construction, computer, business and health-related fields.
