MSOE announces faculty promotions

Dr. Subha Kumpaty, Dr. Douglas Stahl and Dr. Stephen Williams have been promoted from Associate Professors to Professors at MSOE, effective Fall 2009.
Dr. Bass Abushakra and Dr. Carma Stahnke have been promoted from Assistant Professors to Associate Professors at MSOE, effective Fall 2009.
Kumpaty joined the MSOE faculty in 1997. He holds a Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Exegesis and Counseling from Tyndale Theological Seminary, a Ph.D. in Engineering Science (Mechanical) from the University of Mississippi, a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Kakatiya University Engineering School and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Madras. Kumpaty previously taught at UW-Waukesha; Kakatiya University Engineering School; Rust College; and the University of Mississippi.
Stahl joined the faculty at MSOE in 1996 and has a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UW-Madison, a master's degree in civil and environmental engineering from UW-Madison, and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Princeton University. Stahl previously taught at UW-Madison.
Williams joined the faculty at MSOE in 2002. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Missouri - Columbia; a master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri - Kansas City; and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri - Columbia. Williams previously taught at Baylor University and Naval Postgraduate School.
Abushakra joined the MSOE faculty in 2002. He has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, a master's degree in Building Engineering from Concordia University and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from American University of Beirut. Abushakra previously taught at Texas A&M and Concordia University.
Stahnke joined the MSOE faculty in 2000, and has a Ph.D. in English from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale, master's degrees in English and German from Bowling Green State University and a bachelor's degree in English from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville. Stahnke previously taught at Southern Illinois University - Carbondale and Bowling Green State University.
