Students at Milwaukee School of Engineering are honoring the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during the university's annual Martin Luther King Celebration. The event will take place Monday, Jan. 18 from noon to 1 p.m. in CC130, on the first floor of the Student Life and Campus Center. This year's theme is "Building the Dream at MSOE: How are you making a difference?" Dr. William Rogers, from the UW-Milwaukee Africology Department, will give the keynote speech, "Voices of the African American Community." A light lunch will be provided, and Dr. David Howell, MSOE Pieper Family Foundation Endowed Chair for Servant Leadership, will be the master of ceremonies. Entries to the MLK Celebration Art Contest will be on display and prizes will be awarded.
