Congratulations to MSOE's Spring Class of 2010. More than 375 undergraduate and 27 graduate students in engineering majors, the Rader School of Business and the School of Nursing received their diplomas May 29. They join the ranks of more than 19,000 alumni worldwide.
T. Michael Bolger, J.D. delivered the keynote address and received an Honorary Doctor of Business and Economics during MSOE's Commencement. He told MSOE's new graduates, "Life is essentially a search, and more than a job search. Life is a search for who you are. You must search for truth, meaning and happiness. You may never find it, but never stop looking for it. It is the search itself that makes life worthwhile."
Bolger has enjoyed an extensive and influential career spanning nearly 40 years. A native of Minocqua, Wis., he received a B.A. in philosophy from Marquette University in 1961. In 1968 he entered Northwestern University Law School where he received his J.D. degree with honors in 1971 and joined Quarles & Brady law firm after graduation. Bolger served as a partner at Quarles & Brady before being named president and CEO of the Medical College in May 1990.
