MSOE presents faculty awards

     MSOE presented two of its annual faculty awards to recognize outstanding full-time and part-time faculty members.

     The Falk Engineering Educator Award was presented to Dr. Jeffrey LaMack '97 (pictured left), assistant professor of biomedical engineering in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department. The award is given annually to a full-time faculty member with less than seven years experience. It is a testament to exemplary dedication and performance. LaMack received a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from MSOE, a master's degree in biomedical engineering from Ohio State University and a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Duke University. 2010 MSOE Faculty Award Winners

     Dr. David Dreifus (pictured right), adjunct assistant professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department, received the Johnson Controls Award, presented to outstanding part-time faculty. The award was inspired by Robert C. Moore, a long-time faculty member in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department. Dreifus earned his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Cincinnati and his Ph.D. in polymer chemistry from McGill University.

     MSOE is an independent university with 2,600 students. MSOE offers 17 bachelor's degrees and 10 master's degrees in the engineering, engineering technology, architectural engineering and building construction, computer, business, nursing and health-related fields.
