A Letter From Parents to a Coach - Milwaukee School of Engineering

Dear Coach Mark Ostapina:

Nancy and I wanted to tell you how grateful we are for the wonderful experiences that Matt has had as part of the MSOE Hockey Team for the past four years.

From our vantage point, Matt's relationship with you has been close, positive and rewarding. Almost every time he talks to us about hockey it is obvious that you guys bonded in a very good way. His relationship with you is what I imagine every and any parent would want during their kid's athletic career.

We had a lot of fun being Raider's fans and we always will hold your team special in our hearts. We had a blast when you guys came East to Boston and to Walshie's last year. And this season we fretted and squirmed in the close games right along with the fans on site while we listened to the MSOE announcers' voices streaming over the Internet into our Vermont living room.

Matt's comment immediately after the Finlandia game when he came out of the locker room into that hallway was ... "What a great ride this has been!" We think so, too. Coach, you did a great job with the team and with our son. Thank you so much and we look forward to seeing you in May at Matt's graduation.
